Bing Jones - portrait artist
Oil paintings can be painted from live sittings in the studio, from
photos, or by using a combination of the two. Bing Jones paints and
draws portraits of his sitters in London, Yorkshire and abroad.
Portraits of children and family groups are all welcome, as are
those of formal or institutional work. Traditional methods can be
joined with modern effects to give a contemporary effect.

This is a traditional oil portrait was commissioned by the sitter,
Mr Fred Gould, a director and owner of a commercial property
company, motor enthusiast and collector of 20th century
Russian Art.

Next exhibition
"Life and Likeness"
A major
one-man exhibition of Bing Jones's portraits opens at King's College
Cambridge in February 2009. This runs from Saturday 21st
February to Thursday 6th March. Private view Friday 20th February .
This show will include major recent commissions as well as informal
studies and drawings. It is held in the College Art Centre, ask at
the Porter's Lodge.
